About Eric Morrison
My name is Eric Morrison and even before running for Governor in the State of Missouri, I have lived these past few years with a philosophy someone wise once shared with me…
MANY HANDS MAKE THE WORK LIGHT!
I believed it years ago, and I still believe it today! When there is a common goal, idea or cause, I have witnessed people from ALL FAITHS, ETHNICITIES, NEIGHBORHOODS, BACKGROUNDS raise their voices to express a feeling and invoke or provoke change.
While Missouri has made some formidable changes, there are still a great number of issues that must be addressed.
I GOT FIVE ON IT!
Greater focus on (EDUCATION). I believe the reinsertion of Early Childhood Development in our schools would jump-start the learning process and give a better advantage to students who struggle with comprehension and improved social skills. Likewise, increased Vocational training opportunities would give another path to those students that work better in a ‘hands-on’ environment. By instituting these 2 options, we can decrease the number of out of school suspensions. We need to keep students IN the classroom where learning takes place; the classrooms may look different, but the goal is the same; EDUCATION.
(EQUITY) Fairness in the E-VALUE-ATION of resources made available for all!
It was once told to me that “effectiveness is not in the numbers but in the people”. It is imperative to redefine and reestablish fair and expansive regulatory practices so that people can obtain valuable and sustainable resources according to their needs.
Continuing the fight for (EQUALITY)
Daily it becomes more evident that the playing field is uneven in many areas of our union; economically, socially, culturally, and if we aren’t careful, we will continue to perpetuate and unhealthy lifestyle that leaves so many broken and behind.
(ETHICS) that are beneficial to our society. The word (ETHICS) by definition refers to the moral principles that govern a person’s behavior or the conducting of an activity. With a lack of transparency in our local, state and federal governments, moral principles can become subjective and ejective to those who may oppose an idea which leads to inhumane decisions concerning the American people.
Voting allows everyone of age to have an opinion on matters concerning where they reside! The issue of fair voting practices is under siege in many of our states, including Missouri. If votes count in making changes, we must counteract and make changes against VOTER SUPPRESSION !
It is imperative to strengthen the (ENVIRONMENT) in which we live. People, nature, animals, landscape, atmosphere, all make up an environment. When we neglect any one of these essential contributors, our environment perishes. In Missouri, we have neglected some areas, and the results are becoming catastrophic to its’ inhabitants. We must put a STOP to FOOD DESERTS in many of our blithed, low/no income areas, as well as keeping affordable and updated medical clinics and hospitals in our rural areas. If we don’t care for, tend to, invest in our environment, what WOULD have been a benefit to the inhabitants, can turn out to be a DETRIMENT to the inhabitants.
